Description: Leading the group New Outlook is husband & wife team Lori Lyn & Brad Lambert. Lori plays upright bass and contributes powerful lead and harmony vocals reminiscent of some of the greats she listend to as a child. Dolly Parton, Connie Smith and more recently her good friend Dale Ann Bradley, are among the long list of favorite artists that influenced her soulful singing.
Brad brings to the band his own style of hard-driving banjo pickin' and lead and harmony vocals and adding his talents on various other instruments as well. His influences include Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, Jimmy Martin and the Stanley Brothers...the music his father turned him onto as a youngster. Terry Baucom and Sammy Shelor top his list as most respected talents in the business today.
Lori & Brad also collaborate together by writing much of their material. Currently they reside in Wapakoneta, OH.
Cecil l Jackson Jr, is from the wonderful state of Kentucky. Cecil grew up listening to country and gospel music - but the day he heard bluegrass music it did something to him!! He could not get enough of it. Cecil had his 1st bluegrass band at age 16 and has been going strong every since. He is very reliable and just loves to pick and sing!! Cecil has had the opportunity to share the stage with such greats Del McCoury and J.D. Crowe. He gets great enjoyment from jam sessions pickin' with a wide variety of musicians. Don't be surprised if after a show you'll find him out in a campsite pickin' away!!
Corey Osborn was born in Defiance, OH. He is the son of the late Butch and Becky Osborn. He has been around bluegrass music for as long as he can remember, as his father played the guitar around him from the time he was born giving him the desire to pick. After his parents passed away, his step-father Terry Dockery Sr. taught him to play the mandolin at age 9. He grew up listening to Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin, J.D. crowe, Larry and Tony Rice. Another influence was John Arms who taught him more modern style of picking. He has since combined those syles into his own unique style. Corey's previous groups is The Bluegrass Breeze, Poor Bottom Grass with his uncle Steve Scott. At the age of 18 he also played in a country band for 6 years called Thunder Road. In 2009 he came back to his roots picking Bluegrass. Bluegrass music has been passed down from his grandfather Clay Dockery and Albert Scott and other family members. Bluegrass will always be a part of his life. Corey now resides in Continental, OH. |
