Description:
I have lived in Nashville, Tennessee since 1989. I came with a band called Weary Hearts. We did a lot of driving across the country and even went to Europe for a month before going our separate ways. We all still play, just don't play together much. That was just the beginning of my travels. I spent 13 years touring with the world renown Del McCoury Band. We made a lot of records and the group became the most awarded band in bluegrass music. My tenure with the band was capped with Del's membership at the Grand Ole Opry their first Grammy Award. On one of many trips to New York City, my good friend 'Country Man' Dan Henderson took me to a weekly bluegrass jam at Jack Dempsey's Bar and there I met my wife Meredith. Six months later she moved to Nashville. In October of 2000, we were married in Tom T Hall's backyard (forever grateful Miss Dixie and Tom T!!). September 8, 2004 we became the parents of a bouncing baby boy named Riley who is the joy of our life. Riley is already aspiring to be a musician, pilot, race car driver, railroad engineer and lady killer. These days I am a freelance bassist having played with a wide variety of artists. They include Vince Gill, Shawn Camp, Tim O'Brien, Dale Ann Bradley, Peter Rowan, Tony Rice, Danny Barnes, Jimmy Stewart, Verlon Thompson, Patty Loveless, The Tennessee Mafia Jug Band, Laura Love, Jesse McReynolds, Jeff & Vida, Don Rigsby and many others. I am available for session work, tours and teaching.
